Delete your account
Korea Glow, by Seoul Glow List (kwak)
You can delete your Korea Glow account and the data held against it at any time. Deletion is permanent — the account is removed rather than closed, and it cannot be restored afterwards.
From inside the app
- Open the Korea Glow app and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Explore tab and tap the ••• button in the top right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. The account and its readings are deleted immediately.
If you no longer have the app
Message us on WhatsApp from the number you booked with and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm once it is done, normally within a few days and always within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account — the email address, the password if you set one, and the Google or Apple sign-in linked to it.
- Your face readings — the scores, the skin age and the notes from every reading saved to the account. These are removed with the account and are not kept anywhere afterwards.
- Your saved details — the name, date of birth, email and phone number the app fills a booking in with.
Face photographs are never stored in the first place, by us or by anyone else. They exist for the seconds a reading takes and are then gone, so there is nothing to delete.
What is kept, and for how long
Booking requests are kept, with your account removed from them. A booking is a commitment made to a clinic in Seoul on your behalf, and a clinic holding a time needs the request to still exist. What survives is the request itself — the clinic, the treatments, the date and the name it was made in — with no account behind it and no way to sign in to it.
We keep those records for as long as we are required to as a registered Korean foreign-patient facilitator, and no longer. If you want a booking record removed sooner, ask us and we will remove it wherever we are not required to keep it.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can take a new face reading at any time, which replaces the one before it. If you would rather have a reading removed without closing your account, ask us and we will delete it.
