Aesthetic treatments are low-risk in good hands — and every clinic here is one. Still, knowing normal from not-normal means you can relax and enjoy the results.
Normal vs. call-someone
Usually normal for a day or two
- Redness, warmth or mild swelling right after.
- Tiny injection bumps (boosters) or light bruising.
- Flaking or a 'sunburned' feel after a laser.
- Tenderness that steadily improves each day.
Red flags — message the clinic or me right away
- Pain, heat or swelling that worsens after 48 hours.
- Spreading redness, blistering, pus or fever.
- Skin going pale, white or dusky after filler.
- Vision changes after any filler — treat as urgent.
Filler has a rare but real risk
Vascular complications are uncommon but serious — one reason under-eye and nose filler belong with an experienced injector, never a bargain promo. Design-heavy work should stay doctor-led.
Before you book
- Tell the doctor your meds, allergies, and if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Don't try a brand-new treatment for the very first time right before flying.
- Give injectables and lasers a buffer day before a long flight.
- Keep design-heavy work (lifting, threads, filler) with a doctor, not a counsellor.
