Timing
When to go: seasons, sun & events
When you travel changes what's smart to do. Skin loves less sun after a treatment — and some results take weeks to build.

Plan backwards from your calendar. Pigment work wants low sun; lifting takes weeks to show; and event glow is best a few days out. Here's how to time it.
Lasers & pigment love the cooler months
Pigment lasers make skin sun-sensitive — and sun is what darkens spots and melasma in the first place. Any low-sun stretch is prime laser season. Toning in December beats toning right before a beach week.
Pigment work: go off-season
Start pigment lasers when you'll have shade ahead, and commit to sunscreen. Fresh sun on treated skin invites the exact spots you're clearing.
Where to get it
Lifting? Count back from the event
Ultherapy and other deep-heat lifts build over 2–3 months. For a wedding or big day, do it 8–12 weeks before — not the week of. A thread lift is the exception: instant lift, but a few days of downtime, so still not day-of.
Deep lift: 2–3 months ahead
Book the lift early and let it work quietly toward the date. What you see at 8–12 weeks is the real result.
Right before a beach holiday? Go gentle
Skip fresh pigment lasers and heavy resurfacing before sun-heavy travel — you'll undo the work. Save those for after, and stick to boosters beforehand.
Timing cheat-sheet
- Event glow (boosters, toning) → a few days before.
- Lifting → weeks to months before.
- Downtime treatments → early in the trip.
- Pigment lasers → low-sun months.
Korean clinics run event pricing year-round, but the big promo waves cluster around New Year, spring and back-to-school. I flag live event prices on each clinic, so you can catch them.
